Protocols/What To Expect

Day of the Service 

  • Before leaving to attend the limited in-person worship service, each attendee must: 
    • Take his/her temperature. It must be less than 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit in order to attend worship; 
    • If you are exhibiting the following symptoms or meet the following criteria, stay home;
      • You have two or more symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 14 days:
        • Fever
        • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
        • Chills
        • Persistent cough 
        • Flu-like symptoms
        • Diarrhea or intestinal upset
        • Fatigue
        • Sore throat 
        • Headache
        • Muscle pain
        • Recent loss of taste or smell ; or 
      • You came in contact with anyone else with COVID-19 symptoms in the last 14 days; or
      • You tested positive for COVID-19 or have symptoms of COVID-19 and you are waiting for the results.  
  • Bring with you a face covering, hand sanitizer (if you feel you need it), and gloves (if you feel you need them). 
  • In accordance with CDC face covering guidance, everyone over the age of 2 must wear a face covering the entire time in the service. If you cannot wear a face covering or you refuse to wear a face covering, you cannot attend in-person worship during Stage 2. 

Parking 

  • Our Security Team will direct you to an available Parking Space and will direct you to the appropriate entrance
  • Park so that there is an open parking space between two vehicles
  • When leaving your vehicle upon arrival at the church, make sure to abide by physical social distancing (stay 6 feet or more away from others). 
  • If someone does park beside you, wait for them to get out of their vehicle and wait for them to get 6 feet away. 
  • Put your face covering on before you leave your vehicle and keep it on until you are back in your vehicle.           

Service Logistics & Expectations

  • Attendees will use Door 1 for Sanctuary service and Door 2 for CLC service.
  • Greeters will assist with traffic flow at the entrance. When checking in with greeters, participant families will stand 6 feet apart using marks on the sidewalk. Attendees will be asked the Health Acknowledgement Form questions by the Greeter using the Health Acknowledgement Poster. Attendees’ name and contact information will be recorded and kept for 30 days. 
  • Ushers will direct attendees to seats and help with dismissal. 
  • No Childcare will be provided; Children are welcome – a take-home “worship bag” is available. Ushers will seat families with children in the back of the Sanctuary / CLC for your convenience.
  • Families/households will be at least 6 feet from other families/households (at least 4 chairs apart)
  • Physical social distancing (stay 6 feet or more away from others) must be practiced 
  • Service will last about 40 minutes with a live message from our Pastor and pre-recorded music
  • No Bulletins, Hymnals, Bibles or other printed materials will be provided
  • Offerings can be placed in a locked collection box provided outside the worship area, or online offering is available through Breeze (https://stmarksmidlo.com/onlinegiving)
  • Only the bathrooms across from Lori/Hannah’s offices will be open for Sanctuary service. Only downstairs CLC bathrooms will be open for CLC service.
  • Participants will not be allowed to gather in common spaces
  • Security, Greeters, and Ushers will monitor compliance with the face covering rule. Ushers will be responsible for reminding attendees to comply with the protocol. Ushers will have the authority to ask participants to leave if they do not follow the protocol. 
  • Our Security Team will supervise departure from the parking lot.
