We have spent the past year and a half praying for our church using a Next Level Innovations prayer. We have been praying: for the Holy Spirit to open our eyes; for us to see a vision of wonder and to know holy awe; for hindrances to God’s will to be removed; and to be a church for all. But did you know, long before we have been praying, Jesus was praying for us. During this series, we will read Jesus’ prayer for our church and we who are his followers found in his words in John 17.
November 10 – Jesus Prays for our Wisdom and Guidance (John 17:6-7)

JESUS’ NEIGHBORHOOD: Advent Worship Series
The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood.
This Christmas, think of what happened when Jesus moved into the neighborhood. He slowed down for children, went out of his way to touch the sick, related with those who were different from him, showed honor to those who others pushed away; ate with sinners and saints, hung out with rich and poor. Can the same be said of his followers? During this season of caring, let’s learn from Mr. Rogers who followed Jesus’ model and learn what God’s neighborhood needs to look like. Will we build an inviting place in our world and say, “Won’t you be my neighbor?”
